But then I thought well, it is Afghanistan, so having an Urdu-speaking terrorist/freedom fighter shouldn't be all that unexpected. Besides, the Urdu he was speaking was both technically correct and, dialogue-wise, appropriate for the movie. Importantly, it wasn't the simple "uss ko pakrro, uss ko roko" from 'Indiana Jones & the Temple of Doom' or the terrible Urdu used in 'Vertical Limit' :) And you're right about Faran Tahir probably having a say in this since he was given quite a bit of freedom in how he wanted to play his character.
