I don't have a problem with taking notes in class, I just think I could do it better on a convertible tablet PC. In most of my classes (for most of my courses) I take notes on my laptop. In some classes, however, I can't do that because I have to draw graphs and diagrams. In those situations I either use paper & pencil or, if I'm lucky and the professor has the graph/diagram already on a Powerpoint slide, I just refer to the slide number in my notes. Ideally, I'd like to keep all my notes, graphs, diagrams, and slides in one central place. That's what a tablet PC would let me do.

Also convertible tablet PCs are not PDAs, dammit! :) They're real, full-featured laptops that have screens you can write on.

Well there is always this tiny note taker (but text only)... http://www.kk.org/cooltools/archives/002011.php

pasha got one a few years ago but got bored with it.. might want to ping him... and is it possible that it might suffer the same fate as all those PDAs... mine has been catching dust for 2 years now :|
