In most of my classes (for most of my courses) I take notes on my laptop. In some classes, however, I can't do that because I have to draw graphs and diagrams. In those situations I either use paper & pencil or, if I'm lucky and the professor has the graph/diagram already on a Powerpoint slide, I just refer to the slide number in my notes. Ideally, I'd like to keep all my notes, graphs, diagrams, and slides in one central place. That's what a tablet PC would let me do. Also convertible tablet PCs are not PDAs, dammit! :) They're real, full-featured laptops that have screens you can write on.
