CIO: Common IT Project Management Mistakes
Tuesday, August 12th, 2008CIO Magazine just published a really good article by Meridith Levinson called ‘Project Management: The 14 Most Common Mistakes IT Departments Make‘. It’s a good checklist to keep in mind no matter how good a project manager you are because there’s always the opportunity to do better.

Thanks for the link. That’s a good series of articles as well. I’ve worked with government agencies in the past and have been involved in all three of the mistakes you’ve mentioned so far! Unfortunately, I’ve mostly been on the receiving end, which is when your project management team makes all those mistakes and then hands the project to you. That’s not a good place to be!
